Did you know that reservations for out-of-town guests, invited by the groom's family, are the responsibility of the mother of the groom? It will be much more convenient if a block of rooms are reserved at a nearby hotel.

Often the mother of the groom isn’t exactly sure what’s to be done in her role in the marriage of her son. Let me share that the first thing, upon receiving the news, is to initiate contact between the families. This can be a phone call, an invitation to dinner at your home, or meeting for dinner at a nice restaurant. If the families don’t live near each other, a letter is appropriate.

Not Just Another Bridal Show

We're participating as a vendor at the "Big Fat Bridal Show" on Sunday February 21st at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery in Buffalo. With a name like that it's not just another bridal show, right? But the name of the show made me think about how all bodies can look good in DBD (DressByDesign) dresses. I know firsthand because I wear one just about every day. I'm not going to call myself fat, but I am a size 18-20 and truly feel very attractive, comfortable and pretty in my dresses. I also know I am not my body.
