We're participating as a vendor at the "Big Fat Bridal Show" on Sunday February 21st at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery in Buffalo. With a name like that it's not just another bridal show, right? But the name of the show made me think about how all bodies can look good in DBD (DressByDesign) dresses. I know firsthand because I wear one just about every day. I'm not going to call myself fat, but I am a size 18-20 and truly feel very attractive, comfortable and pretty in my dresses. I also know I am not my body.
Our target clients for the show are mothers of brides and grooms, as we've made so many dresses for them. We do bridesmaids dresses very well, but want to let it be known that we make lots of dresses for moms too. Our mother of the bride and groom dresses are very special because they are unique. No worries another woman will ever show up at another wedding in your dress!
A friend had an ingenious idea for us to only bring our muslin dresses to display at the show. The muslins are basic silhouettes of the different styles, so our concept of self design will be communicated with the broadest palette possible.
