I was able to consider all the patterns and fabric choices online and get input from my out-of-town daughters. Not knowing about the weather, I wanted a sleeveless dress and a jacket. I ordered the Christine in charcoal silk dupioni, with low V front and rear neckline to match the bride and bridesmaids’ dresses. Dress by Design designed the perfect bolero jacket and then a simple belt was added. I was very pleased with the fit and customer service; overall, I was thrilled with the classic design of the dress. I received oodles of compliments on it.

"This version of the Kathleen style allowed me to feel as if I wore the perfect gown on my son's wedding day! I chose 2 different fabrics, with the top finished in bateau neck and 3/4 fold-back sleeves. The wide sash tied at the waist, with the top fabric continuing below the sash to my hips. The long skirt and deep kick pleat at the back finished off the elegant look. This dress was the fifth purchase from DBD, and each one has been more fabulous than the next!
